The city is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood metropolitan statistical area.

People love Broomfield’s location– it’s halfway between Denver and Boulder, situated along US Highway 36. Driving to Boulder can take less than 20 minutes, with the city being roughly 14 miles away. Denver is located about 18 miles south of Broomfield. Other neighboring cities include Aurora, Bow Mar, Brighton, Castle Rock, and Thornton.
